I’m excited to share a brand-new free printable with you: my 2026 Friday Savings Challenge!
I recently designed this printable because I wanted to try a new savings challenge where I could set aside money throughout the year and have a little extra for shopping, the holidays, or whatever I wanted to treat myself to. I also wanted to reach my savings goal in a way that felt motivating and was fun to use, so I decided to create this trending Friday Savings Challenge.
What I love about this challenge is that it doesn’t require saving a large amount every week. Instead, the weekly amounts stay small and manageable, making it much easier to stick with them throughout the year. Before long, those small savings begin to add up, and by the end of the challenge, you’ll have $820 saved.
Whether you’re new to budgeting or you’ve been saving for years, this printable is a simple way to build the habit of saving consistently without feeling overwhelmed.

What Is the Friday Savings Challenge?
The Friday Savings Challenge is an easy and enjoyable way to build your savings throughout the year by setting aside money every Friday.
Instead of saving the same amount every week, the amount you save matches the date of that Friday. Since the highest possible date is the 31st, the most you’ll ever save in one week is $31.
That makes this challenge much more manageable than many other savings challenges that require larger weekly deposits. Some weeks you’ll only save a few dollars, while other weeks you’ll save a little more. The variety keeps it interesting while still being affordable.
By the end of 2026, if you complete every Friday, you’ll have saved $820!
Whether you’re saving for Christmas, a vacation, birthday gifts, a shopping spree, or simply building better money habits, this challenge makes saving feel less stressful and much more achievable.
How to Use This 2026 Friday Savings Challenge
Using this printable couldn’t be easier.
Each Friday, look at the calendar and save the dollar amount that matches the date.
For example:
- Friday, June 5 → Save $5
- Friday, June 12 → Save $12
- Friday, June 19 → Save $19
- Friday, June 26 → Save $26
As you save each week’s amount, mark it off on your printable so you can watch your progress throughout the year. There’s something really satisfying about checking off each Friday and seeing your savings grow one week at a time.
Because the amounts stay relatively small, this challenge feels realistic for most budgets while still adding up to a nice total by the end of the year.
Who Can Benefit From This Challenge?
Honestly, just about anyone!
Whether you’re new to saving money or you’ve been budgeting for years, this printable offers a simple way to stay consistent.
I especially think it’s a great option for:
- Anyone living on a tight budget.
- Students learning to save money.
- Families looking for an easy savings goal.
- Anyone who wants extra spending money for the holidays.
- Budget binder users and cash stuffers.
- People who struggle with larger savings challenges.
Since the weekly amounts are fairly low, it’s much easier to stick with compared to challenges that ask you to save $50, $75, or even $100 in a single week.
The goal isn’t to save huge amounts all at once; it’s to build the habit of saving consistently.
Why I Love This Challenge
One of my favorite things about this challenge is how simple it is.
There’s no complicated math, no tracking spreadsheets, and no wondering how much you should save each week. The calendar does all the work for you.
I also love that every completed Friday feels like a small accomplishment. Watching those weeks get checked off is incredibly motivating, especially once you start seeing your savings add up.
If you’re someone who enjoys using printable planners, budget binders, or cash envelopes, this printable fits right in with your budgeting routine.

Starting the Friday Savings Challenge Mid-Year
Even though we’re already partway through 2026, it’s never too late to start building a savings habit. You can simply begin with the next Friday on the calendar and save the amount that matches that date. There’s no need to go back and make up missed weeks unless you want to.
